In a heartwarming turn of events, a stray dog named Indy is now safe and healthy after being rescued near a mountain resort hotel in Northern Romania.
The hotel’s owner feared that Indy’s presence might disturb guests, instructing staff not to feed stray animals. However, one compassionate tourist, alarmed by the hotel’s stance, took it upon himself to ensure Indy was cared for.
This caring individual provided Indy with food and water over several days.

He even brought a warm blanket and a crate, allowing the dog to rest comfortably on chilly nights, as Indy had previously been braving the cold, sleeping outside in temperatures as low as -4°F.
Despite wanting to adopt Indy himself, the tourist was unable to, as he already had several pets at home. Nevertheless, he was committed to ensuring her safety and began reaching out to various animal rescue organizations.
His persistence paid off when Howl of a Dog, a rescue group, agreed to help. Demonstrating remarkable dedication, the tourist traveled 310 miles to transport Indy to the shelter personally.

Indy is now on the lookout for a permanent home. The rescue organization suspects that Indy’s previous owners might have kept her tied up and limited her human interaction, as she seems unfamiliar with toys.
Her dental health further suggests possible neglect. Nevertheless, Indy remains a friendly and generally healthy dog.
If you have room in your heart and home, Howl of a Dog facilitates international adoptions to the USA, European countries, and Canada.

Even if you can’t adopt Indy, sharing her story could make a difference. More details about Indy are available for those interested.
