About three months ago, a tiny kitten was spotted alone near the parking area of a construction site. With no sign of its mother, the workers reached out to Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue for help.
A volunteer named Monica stepped in and brought the kitten, later named Squiggy, into her foster care.
Then, just days later, the workers found another kitten at the same site. She had the same fluffy coat and was quickly named Shirley.
The rescue team suspected they were siblings—and once the two were reunited, any doubts disappeared. They immediately snuggled, played, and stuck to each other like they’d never been apart.
Determined to keep them together, Monica and the rescue team made sure their bond wouldn’t be broken again.
Squiggy quickly took to eating on his own, while Shirley, a bit more dependent, enjoyed bottle feedings. Side by side, they grew more confident and playful, their personalities blending and brightening each other.
As the weeks passed, Squiggy and Shirley joined a group of other foster kittens. They became energetic, affectionate, and ready for a forever home. That home came soon—and it welcomed them both.
Thanks to the quick action of construction workers and a dedicated rescue team, two kittens who might have faced life alone now get to spend it together, safe and loved.
