Many animals enjoy chasing birds, creating a lively “catch me if you can” game as the birds easily evade their pursuers.
One fortunate woman captured a charming moment of a baby elephant reveling in the company of swallows fluttering around it.
This playful elephant calf resembles young children who love running after pigeons and seagulls at parks and beaches.
As baby elephants grow, they exhibit a fun and lively demeanor, playing under the watchful eyes of their adult counterparts. This was the case for the spirited calf spotted in Kruger National Park.
Kruger National Park is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts, home to various species, including elephants and their young.
A visitor to the park observed the young calf gleefully chasing birds and keeping itself entertained.
The video shows the baby elephant joyously running after the swallows, swinging its trunk repeatedly while the birds dart around it.
At one point, the calf briefly leaves the road to watch the birds before resuming the chase on the asphalt.
Nearby adult elephants keep a close watch as the young one expends energy in its playful pursuit.
Eventually, the calf abandons the road and heads towards the adults, perhaps realizing the futility of catching the swift birds on its own.
