Rare white joey was born at the Australian wildlife reserve

An Eastern grey kangaroo gave birth to a white full-bodied albino kangaroo at an Australian wildlife sanctuary in Victoria.
Only 1 in 100,000 kangaroos are born with this unique skin condition, although the white joey’s father, an albino, may have helped.

Annemaree Van Rooy, owner of Panorama Garden Estate who was the first to discover this joey, speaking to UNILAD, she said:

“The joey has yet to be named as he just popped his head out a few weeks ago. She’s hoping to show up next month for a short period of time. ”

While albino kangaroos are a rare sight, which abounds at this wildlife sanctuary, “we have a mop of white kangaroos and albino kangaroos living here in the reserve.”

Van Rooy added: “There are about nine in the mob right now, a combination of white and albino. “They are quite rare and very special.”

Albino animals often have a number of health issues, so in the wild, they can face many problems.
