A huge herd of elephants made an unsuspecting visitor drink water from a pool just outside their hotel room.
Alan Feldstein is a wildlife expert who has owned a Safari expedition company for many years, but that doesn’t mean the 63-year-old can’t be surprised and amazed from time to time in the wilds of South Africa.
Waking up at 6:30 a.m. early in the morning, Alan was greeted by a wonderful sight just outside his window, where a large herd of elephants leisurely loitered by the pool.
After that, the herd of elephants moved quietly over the water supply, one elephant raising his trunk as if to say thank you to Alan.
Alan said: ‘I was fast asleep when suddenly I heard a buzzing sound.
“I was awakened by a herd of about 12 to 15 elephants of all ages and sizes drinking from my plunge pool.
“I’ve been to Africa almost 20 videos and I’ve never seen anything like this.
“I was amazed. I love wildlife and have spent a lot of time in the bush. I was delighted and awe, happy and giddy with the joy that I experienced.
“It puts everything into perspective that we are all on this earth and we have to live with wildlife.”
