The World tallest giraffe has amazed visitors AND….

Zulu, currently raised at Folly Farm Zoo in Pemʙʀᴏᴋᴇshire, Wales, is taller than the zoo’s other giraffes.

Giraffes stand at an average height of 4.5 meters. Although the actual height of the Zulu deer has not been determined, the giraffe’s head almost brushed across the 6m-high entrance of ʙᴀʀɴ, according to zoo’s staffs.

Five years ago, the Zulu deer was brought to the Folly Farm Zoo from the Netherlands. This massive creature is now 18 years old and weighs up to 1.3 tons.

It is difficult to quantify Forest’s height accurately. In the giraffe house, zookeepers must make a specific mark near the hay box.

According to zookeepers, Zulu deer eat at least 20kg of hay and 3kg of mixed food per day to have enough energy to maintain their giant physique.

Despite their size, Zulu deer have proven to be the friendliest to tourists, especially children. People can approach and pat the giant animal’s head easily.

A giraffe’s neck, although long, is not long enough to touch the ground. As a result, they awkwardly spread their front legs or knelt to drink water.

Every few days, giraffes drink water. When it cannot find water to drink, it will get most of it by eating vegetation, similar to koalas or camels.
