When Zeke arrived at the animal shelter, he was facing an uncertain future. Born with hydrocephalus—a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the brain—and several skeletal issues, his chances of being adopted were slim.
Many potential adopters passed him by, and it seemed inevitable that Zeke would be euthanized.
However, just when hope seemed lost, a compassionate woman named Lisa came into Zeke’s life. She refused to let his condition define him and decided to adopt him, saving him from euthanasia just in time.

Despite the challenges that lay ahead, Lisa was determined to give Zeke a loving home.
Relocating Zeke was not without its difficulties. He had to undertake a journey from Texas to New York City, but neither Lisa nor Zeke were deterred.
Once they arrived in New Jersey, Zeke quickly adapted to his new surroundings as if he knew he was home for good.

Lisa was thrilled with her decision, finding Zeke to be lively and intelligent, beyond what one might expect considering his disabilities.
She shared her astonishment: “Zeke is hysterical, behaving as any normal kitten should, and despite all of his disabilities, he has a heck of a lot of abilities. He is such a smart little guy for all his issues.”
Her happiness with Zeke’s adoption is evident. Lisa noted how Zeke responds to his name and comes when called, demonstrating his intelligence and ability despite his front leg difficulties.

She marveled at his cleverness and entertainment value, wondering how anyone could have overlooked such a remarkable cat.
Moreover, Zeke didn’t just find a home; he gained a brother named Super Hero, who also has hydrocephalus. The two bonded instantly, with Super Hero taking on the protective role, guiding Zeke and ensuring his safety with gentle nudges.

With love and support from Lisa and his feline brother, Zeke flourished into an adult cat with captivating eyes and an undeniable charm. It’s hard to believe that he was once overlooked at the shelter.
Zeke now enjoys a life filled with love, companionship, and the security of a forever home, proving that every pet deserves a second chance.
