Marmalade, a pet cat fond of toilet paper, would happily tear apart a roll whenever she had the chance.
Her owner, who volunteers at the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida, wondered if the sanctuary’s exotic residents would react similarly.

The Big Cat Rescue is home to various big cats, including tigers, servals, bobcats, lynxes, and ocelots.
Marmalade’s owner decided to test the theory by placing a roll of toilet paper in the enclosure of Ginger, a serval. Ginger took her time chewing and shredding the paper, clearly enjoying the activity.
Apache, a bobcat, joined in with the same enthusiasm, while Pharaoh, a white serval, had fun unrolling the entire roll.
The next participant, Purrsonality the lynx, played with the paper as it rolled over her body. Apollo and Zeus, two Siberian lynxes, went a step further by shredding the paper into pieces. Amazing Graze, an ocelot, rolled around with the paper, showing its playful side.
The behavior of these wild cats mirrors that of domestic cats when it comes to playing with toilet paper.
This observation highlights that wild or domestic felines share a common love for this playful pastime.
